Etsy product photo size, and photos that sell

The size Etsy recommends

• At least 2,000 pixels wide and tall for listing photos.
• Your first photo at least 635 pixels wide and tall, or it can show lower in search. Make it square or landscape.
• No see-through PNGs. Etsy shows the clear parts as black, so use a white background instead. Files over 1 MB may not finish uploading.
• Your choice of background. Etsy doesn't require white, so a styled scene often works well for handmade items.

Bright, clean photos in three steps

1. Brighten dark photos. Evening kitchen-table photos come back bright and true to colour, a whole batch at a time.
2. Clean white, or a scene. Cut the item out onto white, or put your real item on a table, a shelf or in a garden.
3. Download the Etsy size and upload it to your listing.
